What I Offer

Services

More than four disciplines, each taken seriously. Design built around client needs.

01

Brand Identity

Branding built around your vision.

Brand identity example — Otto Torquay branding

A brand identity is a system: logo, colour, type and the application that holds it together. I build them to work at every scale, from a business card to a billboard, and to hold up past the launch.

Includes

  • Logo design (primary + variants)
  • Colour systems & typography
  • Brand guidelines / Style Guides
  • Business cards & stationery
  • Social media assets

Ideal For

New businesses, rebrands and organisations launching something significant.

02

Print & Publication

Editorial design that demands to be held.

Print design example — LHC Design Taunton Rethink publication

Print has no hover states or animation to cover a weak layout. You get paper, ink, and the decisions made weeks earlier. I design to ensure it holds up under those conditions.

Includes

  • Menu design, table talkers
  • Brochures, annuals & catalogues
  • Educational & course materials
  • Packaging & labels
  • Event posters & promotional flyers
  • Business stationery
  • Vehicle & signage design

Ideal For

Hospitality, events, product brands, organisations with a physical presence.

03

Digital & Motion

Web & motion design that carry the brand into the digital realm.

Digital design example — Hanlees website design

Digital is where brand consistency gets tested. Screen sizes change, contexts multiply, and the identity has to carry across all of it. I design for web and motion graphics that stay true to the brand in tone, feel and appearance.

Includes

  • Website design & UI/UX
  • App Visuals
  • Logo, menu and poster animations
  • Socials & social content templates
  • Video & Still Photography Editing

Ideal For

Tech products, apps, brands launching digitally, anyone needing motion work.

Illustration

Hand-rendered, bespoke illustration with a distinct point of view.

Illustration example — personal illustration work

Illustration that fits the brand rather than sitting on top of it. From character design to editorial artwork, every piece is built around the project's visual language and intended use.

Includes

  • Apparel & merchandise artwork
  • Character & concept design
  • Editorial illustration
  • Icon sets, UI elements & pictograms
  • Spot illustration
  • Digital and print-ready files

Ideal For

Clients wanting a distinct visual character, apparel, games, editorial, and print.

Counsel

Creative direction, mentoring, and studio support.

Not every project fits a category. I take on creative direction, design mentoring, and project management for studios and teams that need experienced hands on a build — whether that's reviewing a brand system, guiding a junior designer, or running point on a delivery.

Includes

  • Creative direction, design audits and critiques
  • Design mentoring (1:1 or team)
  • Small-scale project management
  • Brand consultancy
  • Freelance studio support

Ideal For

Studios, agencies, and in-house teams that need experienced design support.

Questions

Common questions

How much does a typical design project cost?

It depends entirely on scope. A standalone logo sits in one range, a full brand identity system with print and digital collateral sits in another, and ongoing retainers are different again. I quote every project individually after a proper brief — no templates, no fixed packages. You will get a clear proposal before any work begins, with fixed pricing for the agreed scope.

How long does a project usually take?

Most brand identity projects run four to eight weeks from brief to final files. Print-only projects can be faster if the scope is tight. Digital and motion work varies by complexity. Deadlines for launches, tours, or events are accommodated when the brief comes in early enough — urgent timelines are possible but cost more.

Do I need to be in Devon or the UK to work with you?

No. Most of my clients are based outside the UK — across the US, Europe, and beyond. Remote collaboration is the default, with video calls, shared files, and clear written briefs. In-person meetings are available for local projects that genuinely benefit from site visits or photography.

What do I receive at the end of a project?

Every asset in every format you need — AI, EPS, SVG, PDF, PNG — plus brand guidelines where applicable. Print-ready for suppliers, web-ready for digital use. You own the files outright once the project is paid in full.

Can we do a single logo rather than a full brand?

Yes, but I will always ask whether it makes sense. A logo without a supporting system (colour, type, usage rules) often ends up applied inconsistently and loses impact. For small businesses starting out a streamlined brand package usually makes more sense than a logo in isolation, and the pricing reflects that.

Do you offer ongoing support after launch?

Yes. Retainer arrangements are available for clients who need regular design support — seasonal menu updates, event flyers, social content, brand extensions. Retainers are significantly cheaper than commissioning each piece individually and priority turnaround is included.

Will you turn down a project?

Yes, if it is not a fit. If the brief is unclear, the timeline is unrealistic, or the scope is outside what I specialise in, I will say so upfront. Sometimes I will point you to someone better suited. That is better for everyone than taking on work that will not end well.

Every brief is different. Send me your project details and I’ll come back with a considered proposal tailored to the scope and budget.
